New AVG update takes down Windows 7 64 bit computers

Last night AVG placed an update out on their website which apparently caused panic among many Windows 7 64 bit users as many computers failed to boot after applying the update.  According to AVG’s website the problematic update (3292) has been pulled from the website and a new set of files will be made available soon.  They have also posted a set of instructions on how to resolve the boot issues with Windows.
