AOOSTAR, a manufacturer known for its mini PCs, has begun pre-orders in China for its latest model, the GEM12 Pro mini PC. This device is notable for its support for high-performance components, including configurations with an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor capable of operating at up to 75 watts, memory options up to 64GB of DDR5-5600, and dual M.2 2280 slots for PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs, enhancing its appeal to power users and enthusiasts.

Distinctive features of the GEM12 Pro include the optional inclusion of a small status display atop the chassis, dual 2.5 GbE LAN ports for enhanced networking capabilities, a fingerprint sensor for biometric security, and an OCuLink port. The latter provides high-speed 63 Gbps connections, facilitating the use of external accessories such as graphics docks, thereby extending the mini PC's versatility and performance potential.

In terms of pricing, the base model equipped with the Ryzen 7 8845HS processor starts at approximately $360 for the barebones variant without the status display, and $375 for the version that includes this feature.
