Samsung Galaxy S5 specs released

Well, it is official now that the Samsung Galaxy S5 is on its way to the major carriers very soon even touting preorders for most carriers happening now.  The specs for the Samsung Galaxy S5 have been released as well.  The phone is certainly going to be a powerhouse of a phone and carries the tradition of great DNA from its predecessors the S3 and S4.  The phone is going to sport several speedier and beefier specs than the S4.

The Network for the phone is LTE Cat 4 compliant speeding at 150/50Mbps.  The processor for the S5 is a 2.5 GHz Quad cord processor powering a 5.1 inch display Super AMOLED 1920×1080 432 ppi quality screen.  Also, it will be running the latest and greatest Android version from Google the Kitkat 4.4.2 rendition.  The phone sport 2GB of internal RAM and user memory is expandable to a full 128 GB.  Wireless connectivity is 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac as well as NFC, bluetooth, USB 3.0 and Infrared sensors.

The camera has also been upgraded to a 16MP in the front and then a 2.0 MP wide angle lens in the front.  Sensors include Accelerometer, Gyro, Proximity, Compass, Barometer, Hall, RGB ambient light, gesture, fingerprint, heart rate sensor and others.  Battery life is also going to be good with this phone as it contains a 2800mAh battery for excellent battery life.

The improvements to the camera include the smart auto focus features as well as HDR rich tone for better color and more vivid pictures.  Selective focus will also make objects that you want to stand out truly stand out with intelligent blurring of other surrounding objects in photos.  The above mentioned hear rate sensor as well will certainly cater to many health base apps including Samsung’s own S health app.

The look and feel of the new S5 will certainly take on a very modern look and appeal with a rugged looking and feeling perforated patter that definitely pushes the envelope of styling from previous generations of the Galaxy phone.
