Java Control Panel – Controlling Downloads

It seems no matter how up to date a workstation is, due to the highly vulnerable nature of computers –Β security updates, patches, updates and other software downloads are constantly checking to see whether or not you have the latest version of software.Β  One of these that can be a pain especially for system administrators who prepare workstations for under privileged users who may not have permissions to install software.Β  Fortunately, with Java, there is a Java control panel that can be used to configure whether or not Java downloads updates and how often.Β  This is located under control panel as Java (32 bit)
