Kubernetes Training Course: Practical Video Training for Home Labs

The Kubernetes Training Course is a practical video series focused on helping you build, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes environments using real-world home lab examples.

Rather than looking at Kubernetes only from a theoretical perspective, we work through the tools and configurations you are likely to encounter when running clusters on your own infrastructure.

The series explores different ways to deploy and manage Kubernetes, including lightweight distributions such as K3s and MicroK8s. We also look at high availability using Kube-VIP and the tools that can make Kubernetes cluster management easier, including the FreeLens desktop interface.

Storage is another major focus of the series. You will see how Kubernetes workloads can use persistent storage from technologies such as NFS and MicroCeph, including how shared storage fits into highly available and self-hosted environments.

My goal with this series is to help make Kubernetes more approachable by showing how the individual pieces fit together in an actual home lab. Instead of simply demonstrating commands, we look at why certain designs are useful, where problems can appear, and how the surrounding networking, storage, and management components affect your cluster.

Whether you are experimenting with your first Kubernetes cluster or want to expand an existing home lab into a more resilient container platform, this series provides practical training you can apply directly to your own environment. As the series grows, we will continue exploring Kubernetes administration, networking, storage, high availability, troubleshooting, and automation.
